The most convenient way to check in is through the KLM app or our website. Remember to check the validity of your travel documents.
You can check in online from 30 hours before departure – or 24 hours before departure for flights to the United States. You can check in on our website or app.
At the airport:
- Our check-in desks are open several hours until 40 minutes before departure of European flights, including if you will next transfer to an intercontinental flight.
- Our check-in desks are open several hours until 60 minutes before departure of intercontinental flights.

Baggage

If you are travelling with hand baggage only and have already received your boarding pass, you can go directly to security. Check the airport screens for your gate number and follow the yellow signs to the entrance of the security area.
Please note: we will only accept hand baggage in the cabin if it’s within the maximum size and weight requirements.
Do you travel with checked baggage? You can drop it off at the KLM desks or the self-service baggage drop-off machines at Schiphol. Please note that you can only check in your baggage the same day your flight leaves. The KLM desks are open between 04:30 AM and 10:00 PM.
